Gentlemen:

If I have misspelled anyone's name on the results sheet I apologize, I couldn't find my list of the names of the contestants for proper spelling.

 As you can see, this race started out with the look of a fast race, WRONG. With SSW winds here, the first bird came SMOKING in from the SE just like it should have.

 The next two or three birds came from different directions, but still had VERY respectable times. When you can get Youngbirds coming home in excess of 1100ypm from 300+ miles, when they had never been past 100mi, that says allot about the quality and health of the pigeons in this race.

 It was a beautiful day for most of the day, but as the day went on the wind kept slowly turning. By 4:00pm the wind had shifted to WSW and then W and then WNW with light rain by sundown.

 We ended the day with 7 birds.There was one bird on the second day and one on the third day, for a total of 9 birds before the race was officially closed this past Saturday. The race paid 10 places, so the remaining $100.00 is to be split equally among the 9 winners, this amounts to $11.11 each.

 The members of the ILLINI CLUB congratulate the winners and appreciate the participation of ALL of the Contestants. We hope to be bigger and better next year!!
